RateGravity is changing the residential mortgage business by connecting home buyers directly with local lenders at a fraction of the cost paid by Americans today. On average, our customers save approximately $30,000 on their loan.
RateGravity is a rapidly growing company that already works with thousands of homebuyers and real estate agents in Massachusetts. In the coming months we will deepen our foothold in Massachusetts and expand to other geographies.
In addition to financial growth, we aspire to be the most mission-driven mortgage company anywhere, and have recently made a pledge to save all homebuyers at least $10M in mortgage interest this year.
RateGravity is a graduate of Techstars and was a 2016 winner of MassChallenge. About the role
We’re looking for a dedicated software engineer with a history of working in teams to deliver high quality software. Someone who is detail-oriented and focused on the quality and maintainability of their code. Someone able to mentor and learn from your team members, empowering them to do their best work. Someone who writes pragmatic but elegant code with technical rigor and tests.
- Familiarity with functional programming and distributed systems is highly preferred.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git or Mercurial.
What you’ll do:
- Work with domain experts to translate their combined 25 years of experience into software that is transforming the mortgage industry.
- Participate in design and code review.
- Help maintain and evolve our development, testing, and deployment infrastructure.
Our software uses React on the frontend and is backed by microservices deployed as serverless Lambda functions. Additionally, we use the following technologies, but experience with them is not necessarily required:
- Other AWS services: S3, DynamoDb, SNS, SES, etc.
- Node runtime on AWS Lambda
